Guest Review-Kate-England-August 2011
After starting our trip briefly in Capri, we were looking forward to a relaxing week in trullo – something we’d looked forward to for such a while. And we weren’t disappointed. The rental is very much a home from home – comfortable, lots of helpful ‘bits’ to ensure we had what we needed; glorious oil produced from the owners’ olive trees was a particularly nice touch. Moira, has truly personalised the place – the decor is beautiful – despite being distinctly eastern – seems to fit in perfectly with the wonderful renovation job the couple have done. The pool in particular, though, was a treat – huge, cool and inviting – we whiled away hours swimming and lazing around on our loungers. Thank you!

Christ Stopped at Eboli
Carlo Levi’s heart rending story about the people of the South of Italy. ’We’re not Christians, Christ stopped short of here, at Eboli.’ Exiled to a remote and barren corner of Italy for his opposition to Mussolini, Carlo Levi entered a world cut off from history and the state, hedged in by custom and sorrow, without comfort or solace, where, eternally patient, the peasants lived in an age-old stillness and in the presence of death – for Christ did stop at Eboli, a town just south of Naples.
