We had a wonderful week at Trullo Bellissimo, so many thoughtful and considerate touches have made it so. From Jane allowing us an early entry – with the delicious welcome goodies – the divine olive oil, along with Jane’s delicious, freshly-baked bread was real soul food after a day and a halfs travelling. The trullo and surroundings are beautiful even with the dramatic thunder and lightening storms and high winds on our first few days. The cooler temperatures fanned our appetites though and we’ve enjoyed much delicious food. Café Parisio in centro storico gave us shelter from the storm in plush surroundings with great paninis and hot chocolate. Time of year, and perhaps looking to eat too early with an 11 year old, gave us less choice of an evening but we found a great Neopolitan pizza restaurant in the lower circle of centro storico. A return to full sun and warmth by Wednesday had us chilling by the pool – glad for no near neighbours as the water brought a few shrill shrieks. Found the sea at Pilone much warmer with a gently sloping, deserted sandy beach, it was ideal. The beach bat and ball and towels were also greatly appreciated. A week at Trullo Bellissimo just isn’t long enough, so grateful for the time spent there, wish it was for longer. Arriverderci and graze. |

Another year has passed and we have had another memorable week in Puglia at Trullo Bellissimo. It is quite the most relaxing and well appointed holiday destination, with a beautiful pool & outdoor eating area, fabulous local towns overflowing with interesting things to either see or do. Additional benefits are the 20 mins from the beach... “It didn't take us a second thought to book up again for 2012-Our third year in a row"

We spent a very happy and relaxed week in Trullo Belisimmo. The weather was glorious and the villa very comfortable - although we spent most of our time either lazing by the pool (perfect for cooling off from the Puglian sun) or in the gorgeous BBQ area where much cooking, eating and drinking was done. Ostuni is a great town and full of life even at the end of the season - beware lanes in the Old Town -we came a cropper trying to take a large estate car through them. The beaches are great for cooly basking in the Adriatic breeze and everything seemed to be just a short drive away which was a relief in the heat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Trullo Bellisimmo and may well book again in future. |

We stayed at Trullo Bellissimo for 2 weeks in July 2010 and it was excellent with glorious weather. Obviously we enjoyed our stay last year, as we returned, with friends, for another week of non-stop sunshine in August 2011, with good eating drinking and visits to places of local interest. Even better this year to meet Moira and Keith and share a bottle ( or 5!) with them on the terrace. The Trullo is in a beautiful setting and very quiet, with tomatoes, figs, herbs and other things to pick and eat.. Jane's welcome pack and friendly service was, again, much appreciated. Our friends greatly enjoyed their stay and the area/restaurants. Speaking of those, we found and can recommend for dinner Masseria Il Frantoio (on the S316 to Fasano) and, once again, Al Solito Posto in Ostuni -cheap and good. Overall, a memorable trip in a lovely area and accommodation . |

This really is a beautiful relaxing Trullo with everything you could possibly want. Our stay was brilliant from start to finish, with a lovely welcome pack including fresh flowers, food, olives, wine etc to the well stocked kitchen and utility room, to the beautiful decor and relaxing outside. The location is fantastic, just a 10min drive to the beautiful Ostuni with its lovely restaurants and old winding alleys and roads you really dont need to venture too far out to have everything you could want from visiting south Italy!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks to HomeAway.com, we finally found this vacation home jewel in a perfect setting and location within Puglia. The web presentation didn't fool us either..Trullo Bellissimo was indeed wonderfully maintained with all the luxuries you need: dishwasher, washing machine, extensive amount of towels and linens, well equipped kitchen and wonderful bathrooms ! The villa was also perfect for us young families: travel crib for the baby and day beds for the toddlers. We especially liked the piazza life of Ostuni in the evening! |

From the moment we arrived at Trullo Bellissimo, it was evident that the property was special. The care and devotion that Moira and Keith have taken to restore the trullo is evident throughout the villa. The outdoors is amazing, filled with a gorgeous pool and two dining and relaxation areas. The olive trees, herbs, and flowers throughout the gardens are fantastic. I hadn't been to Italy before and we couldn't have picked a better home base. From Ostuni, we drove to many surrounding towns, including Lecce, Cisternino, and Taranto. We really enjoyed the day trips and loved coming home everyday to our beautiful villa, taking advantage of the outdoor grill and patio to enjoy our evening meals outside. Moira and Keith are wonderful to work with, and Jane (who takes care of the property in Ostuni) is so nice and welcoming. The cat that hangs around the villa, Valentino, is so sweet! This is one of those places and experiences that I'll always remember fondly. Thank you, Keith, Moira, and Jane for creating such a special place. |

Taking a break from expat life in Amsterdam this Easter break... and Trullo Bellissimo was the perfect way to do so. The trulli and her property are the best kept secret in all of Puglia! A magical place for this family of four to unwind. Although the season in Puglia was not truly underway yet - we still enjoyed tandem biking to Ostuni, Cisterino and Cegile on our rented tandem bikes, thanks to Southern Vision bike shop. And our children ages 9 & 7 loved playing in the pool and around Trullo Bellissimo while mum and dad relaxed poolside! Highlight of the week was the Passion Procession in Francavilla Fortuna on Good Friday. Thank you Keith, Moira and manager Jane for a great week down south! |

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Trullo Bellissimo, we anticipated the weather would be changeable and it was. The welcome pack was outstanding the location truly great, so quiet and peaceful. Jane was very attentive and is a great asset to the owners’ and the other guest "Valentino the Ginger Cat" nearly came home with us! We had fantastic visits to the towns guided by my Moira Brown's historical dialogue in the visitor manual which is outstanding! The local restaurants were great, the house was equipped by the owners with a great deal of thought and we loved it. I would say if you don't go you will miss out on a wonderful experience. |

Well - the picture is not only a true likeness, but underestimates the beauty and tranquillity that you find at Trullo Bellissimo. We had a wonderful two weeks in late August, where the festivals in Ostuni and sorties out to the hill towns and beaches, enhanced the break. What cannot be underestimated is the fantastic trulo that this is - it is fabulously appointed and well located to take advantage of the great weather and region, including a well stocked garden (Tomatoes, Figs, Strawberries, Concomele, Aubergine etc). We would recommend this to any discerning holiday maker, looking for a break for any occasion. |

What a wonderful introduction to this fabulous region! Great house, pool and fantastic beaches, very close to some wonderful towns and cities (Lecce) all very atmospheric. We had a very relaxing time and our three children were in heaven. No that's a mistake, we all were! Excellent attention to detail by the extremely friendly and helpful owners (Moira and Keith) and staff, and to top it all, the friendliest cat you could hope to meet, sweet Valentino - 5 stars from all of us. |

Ideal place for Italy lovers used to visiting Tuscany and Umbria, to discover the South of Italy. It is really the place to discover this authentic and beautiful area. The fantastic weather and the rich soil together with the nearby sea, delivers the perfect ingredients for a glorious dinner in this lovely trulli. What does one need more than a fresh fish on the barbecue seasoned with herbs from the garden together with some vegetables from the local market and a good bottle of excellent, yet undiscovered wine. Moira and Keith do everything to make your stay unforgettable and make your children dream of having their honeymoon one day in this fantastic setting. |

We stayed at this fabulous trullo for a week in July/early Aug and had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The property lived up to our expectations from the photos we had viewed online. We were shown around the property upon arrival and welcomed with freshly baked bread, local wine and home-made fig jam and aubergine relish and sweets for the kids (amongst other goodies). The trullo was extremely well equipped and furnished in a unique style. The time and love that the owners have put into renovating and equipping the trullo, is evident everywhere. The gardens are beautiful and there are several areas to relax, sit or eat in. The swimming pool was well used during our week. To be honest you could quite easily spend your entire holiday relaxing in the beautiful surroundings and not leave the trullo. However should you venture out, there are numerous places to visit on your doorstep, whatever your preferences are for spending your time. Only a few miles away is the stunning city of Ostuni - easy to drive to and easy to get around and explore on foot. In the other direction is the town of Cisternino - (our families favourite). There are numerous good restaurants here where you can eat very well and very reasonably. A great place to have a morning cappuccino and pastry and watch the world go by. There are many local markets to wander around and many beaches to choose from. This is our family’s favourite part of Italy, the people here are genuinely friendly and welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend this trullo to anyone who wants to stay in a unique and five star environment. |

We have just returned from weeks holiday and I can honestly say this was the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in; it was perfect in every way. The area was full of interesting places to visit and I would really recommend two weeks in order to take full advantage of both the facilities at the villa and the numerous sights within driving distance. The regular visits made by the local ginger cat were a lovely bonus! |

Two blazing sunny weeks - great area for wining and dining, fascinating hill towns, especially Matera - Ostuni is lovely, lively and friendly - Osteria del Tempo Perso (cave restaurant) is a must! Trullo Bellissimo lives up to its name - situated in quiet and pretty surroundings, but only l0 mins drive max to Ostuni. The villa is beautifully furnished and comfortable, and the outside areas are a pleasure to relax in. The pool was spacious and much used during this time. We shall be returning in the future. |

If romance, privacy and relaxation are your thing, this is the place. Throughout our holiday experience was exceptional. There were no limits to the owners' generosity and thoughtfulness in ensuring that our requirements and expectations were exceeded in every regard. The locally based support team (Ali and Jane) should also be commended for doing all they can to make us feel welcome and ensure our stay was of the highest possible standard. Set down a country track in a rural area outside Ostuni TB is extremely peaceful with no passing trade to detract from the atmosphere. The only problem we had was trying to pull ourselves away from the pool / outside area to explore Ostuni and the surrounding area. Internally TB is well appointed and exceptionally clean throughout. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms are very nicely decorated creating a homely and comfortable environment akin to any boutique hotel (without the medalling concierge). We stayed in the four poster room and found the bed extremely comfortable. There is also plenty of storage and cupboard space. With the addition of the Arabic Room and the other lounge / sitting areas you cannot fail to find the perfect spot to unwind. The kitchen area was very clean and had everything required to support the main gastronomic production area (the BBQ terrace outside) If the weather allows you'll no doubt find that you do most of your cooking out here sipping your favourite tipple as the sun sets in the distance. Being able to use any of the provisions in the cupboards and fridge/freezer really makes you feel at home. We also helped ourselves to a few strawberries from the garden which were delicious and again creates the feeling that the place is yours (if only for 1 week alas). Car hire is essential for the recommended visit to Ostuni old town and Cisternino. We suggest sticking to the 'Centro Storico' in Ostuni. To our mind Cisternino is more the atypical sleepy, Puglian hill town. Bar Fod is a good spot for breakfast (the pastries are made by the owners mum!) There is a great English speaking taxi service provided by Angelo/Romeo (details in the guest book) if you want to enjoy a drink. There are plenty of great restaurants in both towns but recommend Il Frantoio in Ostuni oldtown for an authentic experience. We avoided the natives' beaches and would recommend Torre Guaceto if you want to find that quiet, white sandy beach with turquoise sea. A great place we can't wait to return to soon. |

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Trullo Bellissimo (June 2010). We fell in love with the pictures of Trullo Bellissimo on its website, and were thrilled to find that, in person, it is just as beautiful. It provides very thoughtful, comfortable accommodation (perfect for two couples, as we were). We loved the moroccan themed decor, the well equipped kitchen and the gorgeous outdoor areas. The location was also perfect - close enough to some great towns and shops, and yet remote enough that we could really relax. However, more than anything it is the little, thoughtful touches that really make Trullo Bellissimo (everything from the herb garden, to the welcome bottle of wine, olive oil and other basic provisions) and elevate it from just another luxury villa to something really special. We will definitely return for one of our next Italian holidays! |

We were very pleased indeed with the property. The external space is particularly well appointed with great landscaping, and the views across the olive groves are memorable. The quality of the interior, including the kitchen/bathrooms is very high, and the re-furb has been done in very good taste. We would recommend it, and will stay there again on a future trip to Puglia. |

We have been in properties like this one, secluded, with lots of privacy and very classy, however this one really checks all the boxes. Magnificent and well thought out renovation, cosy and very well equipped interior. Excellent outdoor facilities. If you are looking for the perfect beach you may want to explore some of the smaller coves and bays between Taranto and Santa Maria de Leuca along the Ionian coast. A bit further out but worth the trip for the crystal clear water. The only minor disappointment, that has nothing to do with the property, is the poor Italian awareness for pristine ecosystems. I believe tourist like us may help change the local attitude towards the environment. |

“A lovely place to relax and rare to find a villa with so many extras that you do not expect but are surprised and delighted to find. Delicious olive oil and prosecco on arrival, too!! We loved sitting outside in the warm evenings, and to have all those herbs and vegetables available, was another bonus-figs for breakfast were a treat, too! Valentino, the beautiful cat, kept us company, and certainly let us know when his expected mealtimes were! We didn’t explore the area much, but had a great lunch in Ostuni at Odissea. We were pretty much the only people there (it was a Tuesday), but got really well looked after and the food was delicious. Thank you, Moira and Keith, for offering such a beautiful and well equipped villa. “What a truly fabulous location and setting for this most wonderful trullo. We have had a delightful fortnight of sun here in the heel of Italy and have visited some excellent beaches; try exploring just south of Costa Merlata where you can drive to your own private cove! Additionally pamper yourself and have a day at Santa Lucia. The Italians love to sardine the beach, so if you are going, go early! Sights and sounds of the area have not disappointed, including the August festival in Ostuni with an exceptional band and horse/firework display (not simultaneous!!) Others include trips to Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Alberobello and Cisternino. The latter was our favourite with the intricate streets of the Centro Historico. Food and drinking: Cisternino: Il Cucoo was excellent and not expensive; Suggest the Latticini in Cisternino, fabulous with great colds (cheese and meats). Garden vegetables were lovely and this family have taken to the round cucumbers (cocombres), tomatoes fresh daily and all those wonderful herbs. The girls will miss Valentino but look forward to seeing Chablis on our return. Thank you to Keith and Moira who managed to catch some lovely evening cocktails, whilst they holidayed the first week. Wonderfully relaxed holiday with all that you need” |

“We’ve had 2 glorious weeks of hot sun and made full use of the pool. Trullo Bellissimo is truly scrumptious and always a joy to return to after a day out. Among many highlights: 11/2 free hours of opera outside Bar Fod in Centro Historico, Cisternino. Sunday lunch time general antiques market in Ostuni; sitting at cabinet size table quaffing primitivo or negromaro or Fiani di Avellino, nibbling tirrelli watching the sun go down: Herbs from garden, (too early for veggies). Meeting Jane, lovely and friendly. Visited numerous hill towns, but best for us were Matera, Ostuni and Martina Franca (plan to do Lecce by train next time). Lot of dining out-especially good is Porta Nova and don’t miss the ‘cave’ restaurant osteria -Del Tempo Perso. We havn't been out and about much doing sight-seeing, as we were so happy to relax in the beautiful setting and take stock after our wedding last Friday! Still havn't got used to being a Mrs, but feel thoroughly relaxed!!! Off to Venice tomorrow and then on to Lake Garda, so we are sorry to leave here, but can't really complain.
