Truly Beautiful!

Suzanne & Nigel - London, England Date of Stay: June 2009 Rating:

This trullo not only lives up to its name but is also as beautiful as the photos suggest. Inside the attention to detail is superb and the outside space absolutely stunning. Both bedrooms are a good size with one having an additional seating area adding to its spacious feeling. A unique experience and a totally relaxing holiday. The owners Moira and Keith couldn't have been more helpful and their hard work shines through in making this the perfect holiday destination.

Beautiful...Bellissimo!

Brief and to the point. An excellent renovation, everything one could need as well as peace and quiet. We already love Italy and staying at Trullo Bellissimo only added to that love. No hesitation in recommending Bellissimo to everyone. We shall return.

Go to Trullo Bellissimo!

My husband, 15 year old daughter, her friend and I had a wonderful holiday at Trullo Bellissimo. The quality throughout the property, both inside and outside, is first class. Everything has been thought of by Moira and Keith, the owners, who were extremely helpful both before and during our stay. The well-equipped kitchen, sitting/dining room, bedrooms and two shower rooms are all beautifully designed and well laid out and the thick walls kept the inside cool (in July), along with the ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The linen and towels provided are top quality. The two shady terraces, spacious dining area, BBQ, garden and swimming pool are well landscaped and extremely attractive, with ample, comfortable poolside and garden furniture: attention to detail is evident throughout. The owners invited us to pick the fruit, vegetables and herbs growing in the garden - delicious! The property is well situated for visits to a number of hill towns, markets and restaurants and within easy reach of many lovely beaches and coves.
Trullo Bellissimo is a very special place. We hope to return!

Trulli Scrumptious

Trullo Bellissimo is probably even better than the photographs portray. The outside areas in particular are of a very high standard and the pool is very generous for the size of the property. Inside the rooms are well furnished and the beds and bed linen are of a high standard. The thick walls and fly screens do away with the need for air-con (in August). The maid, Grazia, is charming and helpful. We explored the area enthusiastically and were delighted and amazed by all we saw. Martina Franca, Alberobello and Matera were favourites. Moira and Keith were most helpful with any little queries about the property and the area. We would highly recommend the property and the area to our friends.

Fantastic little Italian Secret!!!!!!!

Andrew, Helen & Max - Sevenoaks Date of Stay: September 2009 Rating:

We had a fantastic time at Trullo Bellissimo when we visited in September 2009. The facilities at the trullo are excellent and Moira had done everything possible to make our stay a great one.

Chilled out most evenings either on one of the terraces, BBQing over an Olive wood fire (wood supplied from the surrounding grove) , or in the comfort of the lounge under the wonderfully restored vaulted ceilings.

Baby Max had great fun exploring the lovely garden and olive grove, chasing the neighbours playful kittens who often came to visit us! We visited many of the surrounding towns and ventured down to the coast, everywhere is so accessible from Trullo Bellissimo, it is brilliantly located and hard to get lost, as we cruised about in our little retro Italian hire car (recommended for that authentic Italian driving experience). Moira has done a great job in putting together an information pack with some very good suggestions of places to eat and towns to visit...... although it is very hard to find fault with anything about the surrounding areas and I am sure any visitors would get great pleasure in their own explorations or adventures.

The area has some great food and wine to offer, as we discovered and even the local shops and supermarket have an abundance of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, cured meats and cheeses . The kitchen at the Trullo is well equipped for 'cooking in' and the outside kitchen area a real bonus - with loads of fresh herbs growing in the garden to use as well as fruit and vegetables that Moria said we could help ourselves to.

We had a great time and would recommend to anyone, I am sure we will be back.

We enjoyed the trullo and its beautiful setting amid olive trees tremendously. The garden is lovely and must be a delight in summer. We explored most of the towns around the valley and found each charming and interesting. Cisternino is particularly pleasing and the market in Martina Franca on Wednesdays is huge, with plenty to see. Masseria Frantoio is worth a visit. A beautiful old fortified farm with extremely hospitable owners who will give you a tow or make you a cappuccino with no charge. The neighbours’ kittens were a bonus and often kept us company. All in all-a lovely part of Italy, with charming people and delicious foods!.”

“Our first Trullo!!
We really enjoyed this beautifully appointed home and made good use of the kitchen with all of the wonderful local ingredients.
One of the most unique areas on earth, we look forward to another visit.
The surrounding areas are full of great shops and restaurants.”
